Tech giant Microsoft has picked Philippine start-up WIN, short for Wi-Fi Interactive Network, as one of 12 companies that will be receiving seed funding worth $150,000 under its Affordable Access Initiative.

The DOST Hybrid Electric Road Train (Hert) participated in the ?Bayanihan sa Daan Movement? road-sharing exercise on February 7 as it went on a 5.5-kilometer demo run from the SM Mall of Asia grounds to the Luneta Park and back.
Made up of five interlinked and airconditioned coaches, the road train is estimated to serve 650,000 passengers a day when formally deployed on the road.
