The Electronic Money Issuer (EMI) license from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) authorizes Bayad to deliver e-wallet services through its newly revamped mobile app.
With the rebranding, Bayad is expanding its service and solutions portfolio, biller, and channel partner network, as well as its onsite-to-online platform.
The Bayad Center at LRT-1 Balintawak Station will start serving the public in December. More outlets are also set to be opened in LRT-1 stations, specifically those within residential areas.
While in the pilot phase, Bayad Center said will initially accept payments for the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) and the Guidance and Counseling Program (GCP) conducted by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO). By the fourth quarter of this year, all CFO payment transactions will be covered by Bayad Center.
