The Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) launched on Thursday, Sept. 9, the “Digital Infrastructure Monitoring System: Tower Watch PH”, a monitoring mechanism for tower construction to better streamline permit processing time and accelerate the rollout of connectivity infrastructure in the country.
PhilTower will be introducing new solutions such as the Micro Cell Poles that have a low impact and small footprint with capability to load in radios and has battery backup within the pole for network densification.
Under the bill, telcos and ISPs must “on a pro-rated basis, provide a refund credit to a customer, or adjust a customer’s bill, who has experienced a service outage or disruption for an aggregate period of 24 hours or more within a month.”
Common tower operator ISOC edotco Towers Inc. announced on Monday, Feb. 22, that it has completed its first build-to-suit site in Cavite which it put up for Globe Telecom.
Common tower firm ISOC edotco said it has completed its first build-to-suit site last September 2020 in Bacoor, Cavite and is expected to be ready for active installation by end December 2020.
Globe said its partnerships with Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC), ISOC-edotco, Transcend Towers Infrastructure, CREI Philippines, and Frontier Towers & Associates (FTA) have advanced to active acquisition and build phases.
