Residents and local businesses in Barangay Fort Bonifacio (BFB) in Taguig can now pay for their barangay clearances and business clearances through the BFB Online Services portal powered by PayMaya.
E-money payments in Southeast Asia, excluding the Philippines, grew to $26 billion in 2019 from $15 billion in 2018, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence’s latest Southeast Asia E-Money Market Report.
PayMaya QR is now offered at PSA’s Central Outlet at East Avenue, Quezon City. PayMaya will also be soon available as a payment method in the online channels of PSA.
Through the newly-launched Travel section in the PayMaya app, commuters can pre-purchase their tickets even before they arrive at the station and avoid long queues.
The approximately two million Filipinos living and working in the US will now be able to use MoneyGram to send money via Visa Direct either on MoneyGram’s website or mobile app, to any PayMaya account holder in the Philippines using their 16-digit Visa physical or virtual card number.
During the “Sulong Negosyo” campaign launch, PayMaya also announced it has tied up with entrepreneurial advocacy group “Go Negosyo” for various income opportunities and mentorship programs in the next several months.
