With the FDA certification, IMI Philippines now has the license to manufacture the UCL Ventura Flow Generator to support the government’s call for local outsourcing and manufacturing of low-cost ventilators and other breathing aid solutions in caring for Covid-19 patients.
The Fitbit Flow will be supplied to healthcare systems around the world that do not have a sufficient number of traditional commercial ventilators. It is designed to be used only when a traditional commercial ventilator is not available.
The Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) of the DOST has developed prototypes of 3D-printed parts for respirators and ventilators, as well as nano-filters for masks and nebulizers.
