online application system (OAS) on Wednesday, April 25, to enable applicants for the various PRC licensure examinations to file their applications online. The PRC, an attached agency of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), said the Web tool is part of its e-services program. The OAS?s pilot testing in the PRC Central Office is the sixth in a series of activities that involved the installation of the online system in the PRC?s ten regional offices. ?We are making the PRC accessible to the registrar?s office of academic institutions with readiness and capability in maximizing the available facilities for information technology in their organization and to our clientele,? said PRC chairperson Teresita R. Manzala. Pilot testing of the OAS has already been done at the PRC offices in Baguio, Cebu, and Davao. It will also be conducted in Cagayan de Oro, Legazpi, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao this May. To identify the strengths as well as the weaknesses as basis for the OAS?s enhancement, the PRC has invited registrar offices from colleges and universities to access the PRC website and send applications of its graduates. The PRC shall also make a formal assessment of the OAS through interviews and evaluation forms. ]]>
