One of the most critical services of MMDA is the Transport and Traffic Management, under the Traffic and Discipline Office. This division is responsible for overseeing traffic conditions as well as the enforcement of traffic rules and regulations all over Metro Manila. It has installed CCTV cameras over the main roads of Metro Manila for live video feeds of traffic conditions which are delivered as traffic advisories to motorists, using social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as through television. The WD AV-GP hard drives has allowed MMDA to increase its storage capacity for CCTV traffic videos from 7 days to 30 days. ?WD is excited to cooperate with MMDA on this project,? said Noel Timbol, sales manager of Western Digital in Philippines. Optimized for smooth, continuous digital video playback of up to 12 simultaneous HD video streams with SilkStream technology, the drives are ideal for mainstream surveillance systems. ]]>
