Pixar co-founder to join PH gaming congress

[/caption] Guggenheim managed the growth of the Pixar Animation Studios as vice president of feature animation. He produced Pixar?s Oscar-winning short film ?Tin Toy? and the blockbuster hit ?Toy Story? from 1991 to 1995 with Disney, which grossed over $350 million worldwide. The two-day conference organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) with the theme, ?Made in the Philippines: Storytelling to Storyselling? will be attended by filmmakers (directors/producers), original content creators (storywriters for film, anime, game development, web), members and freelancers from the local creative industries, members of the academe, owners of media outfits, potential investors, film industry non-government organizations, and government officials. The DTI said the event will serve as a venue for local stakeholders to identify issues, challenges, and opportunities for the Philippine creative industries, and to formulate recommendations for the development of the globally competitive creative services in the country. Guggenheim will join other experts from the international film and entertainment scene such as Eli Noyes, filmmaker and president of Alligator Planet; David Kostiner, a US-based entertainment lawyer; and Audie Guevarra, entertainment production manager and the current manager of Apl d Ap of Black Eyed Peas.
