The PNSW is an Internet-based system that allows parties involved in trade to lodge information and documents with a single entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. There are about 40 government agencies, including the NTC, involved in the issuance of import and export licenses, permits, and clearances for trade facilitation over Philippine borders. NTC said its e-payment scheme aims to facilitate payment and conduct transactions purely through the Internet. ?With its full implementation, transactions in securing NTC permits and licenses will now be totally paperless,? it said in a statement. The regulatory body said the e-payment is being done via BancNet?s ATM Payment Gateway. ?It is a secured, streamlined and integrated electronic payment solution that will enable small to large-scale companies to pay transaction fees in the convenience of their homes or offices,? the NTC said. The agency?s NCR Regional Office, headed by Deputy Commissioner Delilah Deles, undertook the implementation of the e-payment system after the NTC was chosen as the pilot agency for the implementation of PNSW program. ]]>
