?We have been informed by the Department of Foreign Affairs that the filing of visa application at the UAE Embassy in Manila should be done at least ten working days prior to the expected departure for that country,? said DOLE secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz. ?This was said to avoid inconvenience and to give the UAE Embassy ample time to facilitate visa issuance,? she said. In a letter, DFA undersecretary for administration Rafael E. Seguis informed Baldoz that the approval of new UAE e-visa goes through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi, hence, the additional processing time. Baldoz also bared that the consular office of the UAE Embassy observes the hours 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as time for receiving telephone inquiries and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as time for releasing documents. ]]>
