Pinoy kids and kids-at-heart will finally be able to follow or track down Santa as he delivers his presents to children across the world on Christmas Eve ? through Google Maps. Google is launching the Santa Tracker, an interactive way for kids and adults to track Santa as he delivers presents through Google Maps dashboard, which is accessible on desktop, mobile, and tablet. Moreover, Google added Santa?s Village, an interactive experience that features three HTML5 games and sends a customized phone call to friends and family, on behalf of Santa. Pinoys can access Santa?s Village through this link. They can also access the Santa Tracker in their desktop by visiting this link. Likewise, they can also download the Chrome extension from this link. Pinoys on mobile can also install the Santa Tracker Android app or through Google Earth. Santa?s journey will also be tweeted through @googlemaps. But how exactly does Google know where Santa is? According to the Google blog post, Google is working closely with Santa?s elves, who are working hard on plotting Santa?s route around the world with Google Maps. On Dec. 24, Santa will leave the North Pole to begin his journey ? starting at the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Asia, then to Africa, Europe, Canada, the US, Mexico and Central and South America. Usually, Santa arrives between 9:00 p.m. and midnight on Christmas Eve in most countries. In the Philippines, Santa is expected to arrive at exactly 11:25 PM. ]]>
