Yahoo appoints exec to dual role as PH chief, country editor

[/caption] Kate delos Reyes, who was previously the regional product marketing manager at Yahoo Southeast Asia, will take the post as country ambassador vacated by Arlene Amarante. A veteran IT marketing executive, Amarante has taken the role as head of display advertising at Yahoo Southeast Asia. Aside from leading the online firm?s marketing efforts, Delos Reyes will also function as country editor, which is mainly editorial in character. She replaced former tech reporter Erwin Oliva, who is reportedly embarking on a start-up project. Prior to her stint at Yahoo, Delos Reyes performed managerial roles at Globe Telecom and as brand manager at Versatile Telecoms. She also dabbled in PR work as PR manager at Perceptions Inc. She now gets to work with her former Perceptions colleague, Robert Po, who is the communications manager at Yahoo Philippines. A graduate of the University of the Philippines, Delos Reyes also took up studies at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. ]]>
