Agorrilla?s LinkedIn profile said she spent a total of 10 years and 7 months with the Lenovo brand. This seems to mean that she was already heading Lenovo at IBM Philippines for two years prior to the Chinese takeover of the PC division. ?Lenovo is grateful to Vicky for her significant contribution to the company?s success in the Philippines. She was the main force behind Lenovo?s business milestones in the country,? the company said in a press statement. ?During her stint, the Philippines was one of the countries that saw double-digit growth. Her operational and sales expertise has also led Lenovo to claim a number 1 standing in the Philippine PC market. Michael will now carry on and lead Lenovo Philippines to greater heights,? it added. Ngan, a member of the Lenovo East Asia region leadership team, will report directly to Koh Kong Meng, president and general manager of Lenovo East Asia region. He will be based in Manila and will be responsible for driving sales and growth of Lenovo in the Philippines. Ngan, who formerly served as the Lenovo Asean SMB Leader, was responsible for optimizing Lenovo?s unique product and brand offerings for small and medium businesses across Asean. Under his leadership, the Asean SMB business saw its market share grow from 6.4 percent in 2011 to a record high of 10.8 percent in the second quarter of calendar year 2013. Before joining Lenovo, Ngan held numerous management positions, including serving as CPL Philippines country sales manager and as an IBM business manager for MIP Philippines (A Metro Systems Group of Thailand company). The appointment of Michael, Lenovo?s former Small and Medium Business (SMB) leader for Asean, reinforces Lenovo?s business strategy to further strengthen the company?s market leadership in the PC space in the Philippines, expand its current market share in the PC Plus market and grow our smartphone and tablet business, in our efforts to become the global leader in the PC Plus world,? Koh said. ?Michael has an excellent track record in growing our business in the Philippines prior, and in leading our SMB business across ASEAN, I am confident he will take our operations in the Philippines to new heights,? he added. ]]>
