Mellissa Limcaoco, head of Smart’s Innovation and Product Development group, said Spinnr has improved music discovery by making it more interactive and social. “Aside from being able to listen to predefined or create your own playlists, you can also get recommendations based on your likes and you can even post your favorite songs on Twitter and Facebook to let you express how you feel through music,” Limcaoco said. Limcaoco added Smart will soon design programs and activities such as music festivals, artist engagements, independent music production and promotion. Through Spinnr, subscribers are provided with unlimited access to more than three million songs from the catalogs of MCA Music and Sony Music Entertainment through local licensee Ivory Music and Video. The music site comes with four membership packages for Smart, Talk ‘N Text and Sun Cellular subscribers: Spinnr Plus 15 (a 20-percent discount for full song downloads or a rate of P10-P15 per song), Spinnr Plus 7 (P7 for 7 days, with 10 percent download discount), Spinnr Plus Premium (P29 for 30 days, with 30 percent download discount), and Spinnr Plus VIP (P49 for 30 days plus 50-percent song download discounts and exclusive access to Smart Music’s events, promos and other perks). ]]>
