lamudi Lamudi.com.ph, which started operations in January this year, has over 50,000 residential and commercial property listings from developers and PRC-licensed brokers. The company has active offices in Manila, Cebu, and Davao. “Our early success in the Philippines just goes to show the huge demand that exists here for high-quality online property listings. An increasing number of Filipinos are looking for property to buy or rent online, and they are turning to Lamudi as their platform of choice,? said co-founder and managing director of Lamudi Philippines Jacqueline van den Ende. Launched globally in late 2013, Lamudi now hosts over half a million international property listings covering 28 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Lamudi said it also the market leader in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar for number of online listings. Last month, the company launched an Android app for house-hunters in emerging markets to find property to buy or rent on the go. Lamudi’s global co-founder and managing director Kian Moini said: “We have seen incredible demand for our service in each of our markets, including those where high-quality online property listings are a relatively new phenomenon. ?Lamudi started as a small, core team in our Berlin HQ late last year and it has become an extensive international network. Our goal now is to be market leader in each of our countries within a short time. Having such a diverse team globally allows us to be experts in many fields.” Earlier this year, the company received $7 million in investment to grow its Asian operations, including funds from the investment arm of international multi-sector retailer Tengelmann Group. In May, Lamudi launched in a further seven countries across Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The launch in Sri Lanka, Jordan, the Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Madagascar, Mauritius and Zimbabwe brought the number of countries where Lamudi is active to 28. ]]>
