Dassault Syst?mes partners with UP on 3D engineering design tool

Dassault Syst?mes announced a strategic partnership with the University of the Philippines Diliman and its local partner, MDCGroup, to provide 3D engineering design tool for students of the state university.

The partnership, sealed in a MoU signing ceremony held at UP Diliman on February 27, 2015, aims to increase the innovative capability of engineering talents in the Philippines? premier university.

Engineering students at UP Diliman will be exposed to digital learning experiences that help in familiarizing cutting-edge practices and technologies in the real world. They will have access to Dassault Syst?mes? 3D and PLM technologies based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, and will be given project management opportunities to enhance industry readiness.

Dr. Aura C. Matias, Dean of the UP College of Engineering, said, ?There is always this gap between classroom learning and the realities in the workplace because of fast changing industrial demands.?

Students will become adept with the right skillsets and the relevant industry experience for the roles they will play in the real world,? she said.
