Razor-thin ?Transformer Book Chi? leads parade of new Asus machines in PH

Taiwanese computer maker Asus unveiled on Tuesday, April 7, a slew of sleek convertibles and gaming laptop that are all powered by Intel microprocessors.

Leading the pack is the Asus Transformer Book T300Chi, which has an all-aluminum design that offers sophistication and elegance in a 2-in-1.

Powered by the all-new Intel Core M processor, the T300 Chi is a compact 12.5-inch model with all-day battery life for on-the-go productivity. It has a clear IPS display with FHD 1920×1080 resolution for detailed and vivid visuals.

The T300Chi is distinguished by their razor-thin profiles and quiet performance, made possible by the fanless design. It only measures just 1.65cm when docked, which is even thinner than an Apple Macbook Air.

The edges of the Chi are enhanced with diamond-cut chamfering, adding brilliant highlights to the elegant metallic body.

Chi?s instant, seamless transformation between handy tablet and powerful laptop is made possible by the uniquely designed magnetic hinge mechanism, which uses powerful neodymium ? the world?s most powerful magnetic material ? precisely arranged to ensure secure, reliable, and fuss-free docking, every time.

The highly ergonomic keyboard is connected via Bluetooth, with a working range of up to 20m.

The Transformer Book Chi Series uses in-plane switching (IPS) displays enhanced with Asus TruVivid technology, giving wide viewing angles with clarity and brightness. And with up to FHD (1920×1080) resolution, users will enjoy crisp and detailed visuals.

Chi?s displays also have an sRGB color gamut ? 20 percent wider than the gamut of standard displays ? that gives richer, more vivid, and more accurate color reproduction.

Asus SonicMaster audio technology gives Transformer Book Chi Series the edge over the competition when it comes to sound quality. The superior engineering and cleverly-designed software delivers immersive sound that is rich, powerful and distortion-free, with clear vocals and a full-range frequency response.

The power-efficient Intel processors allow Chi users to enjoy up to all-day battery life with no performance compromises. This power-efficiency, combined with an advanced thermal management design from the Asus engineering team, means that Chi needs no fans to keep cool.

Also at the launch, Asus announced another new 2-in-1 notebook, the Transformer Book T300FA, which is a 12.5-inch hybrid that is equipped with Intel?s new Core M (5Y10) processor with 4GB of RAM

Its power-efficient Intel processor allows users to enjoy up to all-day battery life. Like the Chi, the Transformer Book T300FA needs no fans to keep cool. Its clever fanless design enables it to run silently, while still delivering better performance than other currently-available Intel Core M-powered devices.

With USB 3.0, users can save a lot of time transferring their files. The new transformer book now has 64GB of ISSD storage in which the Windows 8.1 is installed so they can experience faster processing speed with no hang-ups or lags.

Users can detach the unit via magnetic type hinge with Bluetooth connection during presentations and safely put it back without any worries.

The Asus device is equipped with SonicMaster stereo speakers, which great for watching movies and listening to your favorite music.

Asus Transformer Book T300FA is available with a selling price of P32, 995.00.

ROG G Series G551 gaming notebook

Lastly, Asus Philippines also launched during the event the Republic of Gamers (ROG) G Series G551.

This new G Series models represent a performance leap over their predecessors, with Intel Core i7 processors and enthusiast-grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics for the horsepower to drive games smoothly at their highest settings.

The G Series laptops exhibit their visual prowess with wide-angle IPS displays, and provide gamers with Full HD visuals. There?s also Trinity Display output for multi-monitor gaming or multitasking.

The distinctive G Series design features a matte-black brushed-aluminum finish with red diamond-cut edges, and bears an illuminated ROG logo on the lid. The keyboards are designed especially for gamers, and the almost-silent cooling system efficiently removes heat with minimum fan noise.

The new G Series laptop is powered by Intel Core i7 processors for the performance required by the latest gaming titles; while enthusiast-grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics with Microsoft DirectX 11 provide sharper visuals and smoother in-game animations.

To cope with the amazing power, G Series features an advanced cooling system that efficiently removes heat with minimal fan noise so as not to disrupt the gaming experience.

The G Series comes in 15- inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) display. The IPS panel has wide 178-degree viewing angles, so color shift is minimized even when viewed from extreme positions in both the horizontal and vertical planes.

Trinity Display technology enables users to hook their G Series up to three other external displays via HDMI 1.4 or Mini DisplayPort 1 ? ideal for multi-monitor gaming and multitasking.
