Wireless operator Smart Communications said it posted strong growth in mobile data usage among its subscribers in the first half of 2015, fueled initially by a free Internet promo and then sustained by new content and digital services.
Analyst firm IDC is predicting worldwide mobile payments will account for $1 trillion in value in 2017, up 124% from the less than $500 billion expected in 2015.
