News app for PH has off-line mode for pre-loaded stories

A new mobile app that pulls together the latest headlines from the Philippines and the whole world can now be downloaded for free from Goople Play and Apple?s iTunes.

KAMI on the phone 2

The KAMI.com.ph app was developed by a company called Genesys, which made it smart enough to show a custom set of favorite topics based on the user?s preferences.

Noting that mobile Internet cost in Philippines is expensive, Genesys also put an ?offline-mode? in the app that allows the user to pre-load and bookmark articles so he or she does not waste precious mobile traffic.

?KAMI app empowers users with unique reading experience delivering an intuitive interface along with social sharing and a feature to express your opinion on any news in the feed,? said the company, which generates its revenue from mobile ads.

Genesy said the KAMI app offers the following:

? Breaking news coverage;
? Daily news updates;
? 24/7 support;
? Read preloaded news offline
? Simple design with easy scrolling and swiping for an exciting reading experience;
? Share stories using Facebook, Twitter, e-mail or other services;
? Customize the app according to personal preferences;
? Bookmark the news you like and read them later offline.
