The Sitel Alpha, the basketball team of BPO giant Sitel Philippines, clinched last July 10 the BPO Classics Recreational Division Championship by nipping Alere-Arriva Medical in the final game, 73-69.
The 17-man Sitel team secured the title through their well-oiled offense, maintaining an early lead and then protecting it by resilient defense and treys. It was the first championship for Sitel Alpha since joining the BPO Classics tournament three years ago.
The BPO Classics, organized by One Unite Sports & Events, is the country?s largest BPO Sports Lifestyle Tournament with 31 BPO companies participating in several divisions of basketball and volleyball.
