Faeldon said the online streaming is being controlled at the agency’s CCTV Command Center, which receives images from around 40 cameras the BOC compound — including his office. “We are now online. The public should expect everyone in BOC to be seen,” he said. For now, only cameras within the main BOC building can be seen in the command center and via live stream. At least 94 cameras have already been installed but are yet to be set up for live-stream in other areas such as the Port of Manila, Manila International Container Terminal, and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Also, only 10 users at a time are allowed to log in at the system for now through username: guest1 (up to guest10). The password for all user names is password123. After logging in, the system will prompt the user to download a browser plug-in to view the livestream. The Bureau’s Management Information System and Technology Group (MISTG) promises to have its system working in full swing in the next few days. It also promised to remove the log-in system soon to enable more viewers of the live stream. It can be recalled that the Faeldon promised during a Malacanang press briefing last Aug. 22 the installation of CCTV cameras and creation of a livestream for public viewing. “By next week, you can now view me in my office, in my conference rooms and everywhere that?s within the Office of the Commissioner, so I?ll set an example on the setting up of the CCTVs,” he said. — PNA ]]>
