Department of Information and Communications Technology executive consultant Monchito Ibrahim took home the IBPAP-Globe Sapphire Flare for Brilliance Award. Ibrahim received this award for being instrumental in driving inclusive growth and in identifying strategic opportunities in the emerging locations or Next Wave Cities across the Philippines. Presenting the award was Globe Telecom chief commercial officer Albert De Larrazabal CHED commissioner Minella Alarcon received the IBPAP Crystal Flare for Sparkler Award on behalf CHED chairman Patricia Licuanan. Licuanan was given this award for enabling innovations through the continued growth of the Filipino talent pool and advancement of talent development programs of the Philippine IT-BPM industry. Presenting the award was IBPAP Trustee Fred Ayala. The Asia Pacific College (APC) also took home the IBPAP Crystal Flare for Sparkler Award for being instrumental in elevating talent development for the IT-BPM industry. Receiving the award was Asia Pacific College chairman Ramon Dimacali. Presenting the award was IBPAP executive committee chair and CEO Benedict Hernandez. Former Philippine Economic Zone Authority director-general Lilia De Lima won the IBPAP Crystal Flare for Kindler Award. De Lima was and continues to be a key ally of the IT-BPM industry and a champion of the Filipino brand as they continuously work in positioning the Philippines as a preferred investment destination for IT-BPM. Presenting the award was IBPAP trustee Rainerio ?Bong? Borja. Bacolod City was declared the winner of the IBPAP Crystal Flare for Beacon Award for its innovative contributions and path-finding initiatives, helping various countryside locations in the Philippines become more attractive for local and international investors. Receiving the award for the city were Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology (BNEFIT) executive director Jocelle Batapa-Sigue and Bacolod City councilor Em Ang. Presenting the award was IBPAP board chairman Danilo Sebastian Reyes. Sen. Edgardo J. Angara was recognized with the IBPAP-PLDT Azure Flare for Industry Luminary Award. Angara was given this award for being a catalyst in the realm of business and policy recommendations, creating an ecosystem where the IT-BPM industry and its stakeholders thrive. Receiving the award for Senator Angara was IBPAP executive committee chair and CEO Benedict Hernandez. Presenting the award was IBPAP trustee and PLDT Alpha Enterprise first vice president and head Juan Victor ?Jovi? Hernandez. The titans of the Philippine IT-BPM industry and the strong leadership behind the IBPAP were honored for their achievements and significant contributions to the success of the industry.
