Storage firm Transcend bares industrial-grade SSD430 solid-state drive

Storage and multimedia products manufacturer Transcend has introduced the SSD430, an industrial solid-state drive compatible with SATA III 6Gb/s specifications.

It reads up to 560MB/s and writes up to 490MB/s. In addition, it features reliability coming in a small but stylish case. The drive is also loaded with low-density parity check (LDPC) error-correction code (ECC) and advanced protective technologies, making it suitable for industrial needs.

The industrial-grade SSD430 solid-state drive is constructed with 3D MLC NAND flash chips and consumes low power at high reliability. The SSD430 is designed for a long-term, stable operation for various types of data and application.

Equipped with Device Sleep mode, Power Shield, Intelligent Block Management, and Global Wear Leveling, the SSD430 is protected with enhanced device endurance and reliability in addition to Transcend?s three-year limited warranty.

The company has not announced the pricing yet, but hints that the SSD will come in 120GB and 240GB capacities.
