Exasperated at the slow Internet in the Philippines, the government is taking matters into its own hands with the launch of a project called Luzon Bypass Infrastructure (LBI), marking the first time that the government will build and operate its own submarine cable landing stations.
Although technology allowed it to serve more clients here and abroad, the company retained its original workforce and grew further through innovation and automation.
The report noted that despite having a largely duopoly market, the Philippines has achieved a high level of basic mobile access and has deployed the latest wireless and fixed technologies with high download speeds -- at least in urban areas.
The MOU serves as the bilateral framework to improve the administration and effectiveness of the intellectual property systems in the Philippines and the Russian Federation.
