Online tech retailer Argomall sets out to conquer PH market

Backed by a wealthy local conglomerate, online retailer Argomall is revving up its local operations with the objective of dominating the booming local market for smartphones, tablets, and related accessories.

The online retailer shop was founded on 2015 as a member of Transnational Diversified Group (TDG) of companies. Argomall?s office is located inside TDG?s sprawling new business hub along C5 Road in Taguig City.

To show its seriousness to compete against established e-commerce giants, Argomall has tapped Finnish executive and former Nokia Philippine country manager Karel Holub to lead the company as its ?chief argonaut?.

At a meet-and-greet event on Thursday, May 31, Holub said they have also partnered with financial technology firm Home Credit to offer online loan applications for customers within Metro Manila.

While Holub said they intend to expand the service nationwide, he said the company is focused on making sure that the service works within Metro Manila.

It?s been two years since Argomall tied up with Home Credit on 2016, when they offered loan installments to consumers purchasing smartphones without interest.

According to Holub, Argomall has a transparent pricing scheme without fake discounts. The site also does not charge for shipping cost of the items bought in the site.

He said the company is also serious on providing immediate customer service, hence their tagline “delivering happiness.” In fact, their Facebook page is marked to be “very responsive” to the messages they receive. ? Clarist Mae Zablan
