Rio hits DICT anew for inaction on major broadband project

A week after criticizing an assistant secretary of the DICT for apparent lack of concern on a proposed integrated contact tracing platform, former undersecretary Eliseo Rio Jr. took another swipe at the top officials of the agency for not acting on a crucial document for a broadband project in the country.

Global smartphone shipments to drop nearly 10% in 2020

On a positive note, IDC said it expects the smartphone market will return to a full recovery by 2022, largely driven by the assumption that smartphones will continue to be the computing platform of choice for most of the world.
