Oracle Academy pitches AI, machine learning, analytics to PH educators

Oracle Academy in the Philippines recently hosted 28 academics from 18 higher education institutions from across the country to attend an information session on how Oracle can help educators bring artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and data analytics into their computer science courses and curriculum.

Mina Lim, Oracle Philippines managing director, emphasized during the forum the value and demand for computer science skills. She described how educators can take advantage of the free Oracle Academy classroom resources for teaching computer science, available to them as members of Oracle Academy.

Oracle big data analytic sales consulting lead for Asean Janet Uy then presented on how Oracle artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analytics can prepare students, teachers, and practitioners for the AI future.

A third speaker, Anton Ancheta, senior director at Oracle NetSuite, talked about his experience in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) space and on work opportunities for students with exposure to NetSuite in their classroom curriculum.

Educators teaching business courses use NetSuite to teach students modern business operations and financial processes in the cloud.
