ASUS, Schneider team up for discount bundle

In a bid to address power outages and fluctuations that can damage electronics and lead to losses for various businesses and end-users, ASUS partnered with Schneider Electric to offer a discount bundle for customers who buy any select ASUS router with an APC by Schneider Electric Back-UPS Connect.

Starting this month until the last day of September, end-users who participate in the promo will be eligible for a P200 discount on the Mini-UPS. This device can provide enough juice for about 150 minutes to the ASUS router, which is long enough to send time-sensitive files or a large post-processed video file transfer to a network-attached storage (NAS).

Schneider’s Back-UPS Connect allows easy setup housed in a compact and lightweight body. It also supplies up to 85% power efficiency for end-users to allow utility cost savings and emits lower heat to prolong component life.

The device is primarily for businesses that are wary of power outages that result in Internet connectivity loss and disabled electronics. With its AVR feature, the mini UPS also corrects damaging voltage fluctuations.

The ASUS router models that are participating in the exclusive deal are the following

RT-N12+ – This is for medium-sized homes. It has a data rate of up to 300 Mbps.

RT-AC53 – This can provide connectivity in medium-sized homes and boasts of nifty features like the a VPN server and Smart QoS.

RT-N14UHP – This gives coverage for large homes and is packed with an AiCloud and IPTV support.
