Smart Communications said on Monday, Oct. 18, that it has seen more users switching to its network during the first 10 days of the implementation of Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
Smart Communications also lambasted Globe Telecom for being “oblivious of the hardships being suffered by former Globe customers that ported in to Smart”, for the inability of GCash to work properly, adding that Globe was also acting with "a hint of righteousness".
Smart Communications has questioned the advisory sent by GOMO, a mobile service provider operated by Globe, that mobile number portability is not yet available for its subscribers despite the effectivity of the MNP law on Sept. 30.
Top officials of Smart Communications urged subscribers of its rival telco to make the switch and take advantage of the new law that allows mobile users to move between operators without changing their numbers.
The school is designing a blended learning approach in which half of the classes will be conducted virtually, while the other half will be held face-to-face.
Opensignal said the analysis indicates that so far DITO’s entry into the Philippine mobile market is evolutionary, not revolutionary, for mobile experience because DITO’s scores were mostly similar to — or below — the overall scores of all operators, with the exception of Upload Speed Experience in both Central Metro Cebu and Metro Manila.
Local telcos DITO, Globe Telecom, and Smart Communications conducted the tests in preparation for the implementation of mobile number portability by September 30.

The deal would explore opportunities to extend SpaceMobile – which is building the first and only space-based cellular network accessible by standard mobile phones -- to Smart subscribers in the Philippines after the service is launched.
