Pharma giant Unilab has entered into a partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to modernize its core business systems through a cloud migration initiative.
The project involves transitioning Unilab from its legacy enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to a cloud-based digital platform using SAP S/4HANA on RISE.
TCS will handle implementation, including system design, data migration, testing, and change management.
According to Unilab president and CEO Sebastian Frederick Baquiran, the initiative supports the company’s plans to expand its product portfolio and reach new markets, while ensuring its operations remain adaptable to future requirements.
Unilab, which has been operating for 80 years, manages an extensive distribution network serving trade customers across the Philippines and in 18 other countries.
The modernization effort is expected to improve supply chain processes, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
TCS, which has operated in the Philippines since 2008, will oversee the end-to-end implementation. The company said its role includes harmonizing operations, integrating analytics, and supporting Unilab in aligning its digital systems with business needs.
