AI Horizons PH, the country’s premiere conference on artificial intelligence innovations, will take place at the University of the Philippines Cebu on Oct. 16–17, 2025.
The event will bring together leading AI experts to showcase implementation-ready AI solutions and promote direct engagements among sectors affected by AI transformations.
“Cebu exemplifies the transformation we envision for AI integration across Philippine industries,” said Prof. Prospero Naval Jr., chair of the conference’s program committee.
He noted that Cebu City is the Philippines’ leading business process outsourcing hub outside Metro Manila. “By hosting the conference here, we’re showcasing solutions in the very environment where they will have immediate, measurable impact on livelihoods and economic growth,” he added.
The conference focuses on demonstrating AI solutions across four strategic domains that directly impact Philippine competitiveness and social welfare: cybersecurity and national security; BPO and creative industry transformation; applications in governance and disaster risk reduction management; and social good and inclusive growth.
Unlike traditional academic conferences, AI Horizons PH prioritizes working demonstrations and implementation-ready solutions.
Submissions ranging from presentations, case studies, technical demonstrations, policy briefs and position papers all require clear pathways from concept to deployment, particularly for Philippines-specific contexts.
“Every presentation must answer the question: ‘How does this solution work in Philippine conditions?’ We want attendees to leave with tools they can implement immediately, whether in their businesses, government agencies, or communities,” UP Cebu Chancellor Leo Malagar asserted.
