ChatGPT Go debuts in PH, offers AI access at ₱300 monthly

OpenAI has officially launched ChatGPT Go in the Philippines, a new subscription plan designed to make advanced artificial intelligence tools more accessible at an affordable price of ₱300 per month.

The rollout comes as the Philippines ranks among the top five Asian countries with the highest number of weekly active ChatGPT users — a sign of strong and growing interest in AI for everyday use.

The new plan aims to help more Filipinos integrate AI into their learning, creativity, and daily problem-solving.

“Millions of people across the Philippines are turning to ChatGPT to support their learning, creativity and everyday problem-solving,” said Nick Turley, vice president and head of ChatGPT.

“With ChatGPT Go, we want to make cutting-edge AI easily accessible and affordable so everyone can benefit from it.”

Powered by GPT-5, OpenAI’s most advanced model, ChatGPT Go offers users enhanced features such as higher message limits, image generation, file uploads, and extended memory — capabilities previously available only to higher-tier subscribers.

Compared to the free plan, subscribers to ChatGPT Go receive:

  • 10× higher message limits using GPT-5
  • 10× more image generations per day
  • 10× more file or image uploads per day
  • 2× longer memory for more personalized conversations

The top ChatGPT use cases in the Philippines include tutoring, editing, personal writing, “how-to” advice, and creative ideation, according to OpenAI.

Subscription Options

ChatGPT Go joins OpenAI’s growing lineup of subscription plans:

  • Go – Everyday users seeking expanded access (₱300/month)
  • Plus – Premium performance with faster responses and priority access (₱1,100/month)
  • Pro – Enterprise-grade tools with extensive customization (₱9,990/month)

Following its debut in India, ChatGPT Go has seen strong regional adoption — doubling paid subscriptions within a month and receiving positive feedback from users. The Philippines is among 16 Asian countries included in the latest expansion.
