Green GSM ties up with Xentro Group to roll out electric ride-hailing service in PH

Green GSM, an all-electric ride-hailing platform, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with AMRC Renewable Corporation/Xentro Motors, a subsidiary of the Xentro Group of Companies, for the deployment of 2,000 VinFast electric vehicles across the Philippines.

Under the agreement, Green GSM will supply VinFast Nerio Green units to Xentro Motors for use under the co-brand “Green Xentro powered by Green GSM.”

The first 1,000 units have been secured, with the remaining vehicles scheduled for delivery within two years. Operations are expected to begin in Metro Manila and other major cities once regulatory and accreditation requirements are completed.

The partnership aims to support the shift toward electric mobility and aligns with both companies’ sustainability programs. The fleet will operate in Green GSM’s signature cyan color and follow established environmental standards used in other markets.

Green GSM, which began offering its all-electric ride-hailing service earlier this year, is working with local partners to promote wider adoption of electric vehicles.

Xentro Motors said the collaboration will allow it to take part in the growing EV transport sector in the country.

As part of the agreement, Xentro Motors will use its Xentro Malls network to host pick-up areas, EV charging stations, and parking spaces for the Green Xentro fleet.

The arrangement also extends to maintenance and infrastructure support from Vietnamese automaker VinFast.

“We are pleased to partner with Green GSM in introducing all-electric ride-hailing to more communities,” said Noel M. Ignacio, CEO of Xentro Motors.

“This initiative supports our goal of integrating sustainable practices within our operations and contributing to the modernization of local transport.”

Green GSM Southeast Asia managing director Dao Quy Phi said the cooperation with Xentro Motors forms part of the company’s broader regional expansion.

“We aim to collaborate with local partners who share our vision for cleaner and more inclusive mobility,” he said.
