Amazon has introduced its budget-focused shopping app — Amazon Bazaar — to the Philippine market, expanding the e-commerce giant’s reach to another developing economy where low-cost online retail continues to grow.
The standalone app offers access to hundreds of thousands of inexpensive products across fashion, home, and lifestyle categories. Most items are priced below ₱600, with some going for as low as ₱120.
Orders worth at least ₱280 qualify for free delivery, and Amazon estimates most shipments will arrive within two weeks.
Amazon Bazaar is part of the company’s global “Amazon Haul” experience, an initiative that has already been rolled out in markets such as the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
The company said the naming varies by country to align with local preferences.
The app is now available in 14 territories, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Nigeria, Jamaica, Peru, Qatar, and Kuwait. Philippine customers can download it through local iOS and Android app stores and log in with existing Amazon accounts.
Features include customer reviews, ratings, and compliance-checked product listings. Returns are free if requested within 15 days. The app supports Philippine peso payments and accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Amazon Bazaar also incorporates entertainment-style features such as social lucky draws and promotional activities, reflecting the company’s attempt to blend low-cost retail with interactive shopping formats increasingly popular in Asian markets.
