A new digital self-discovery platform has launched in the Philippines as more young adults grapple with emotional stress, uncertainty, and a lack of access to practical tools for self-reflection.
Recent studies show that around 35% of Filipino young adults experience depression, while 16% live with anxiety, with many feeling overwhelmed by questions surrounding career direction, identity, relationships, and the future. Despite these challenges, accessible and culturally relevant tools for emotional clarity remain limited.
Seeking to address this gap, Never Ending Weekends, a self-awareness and guided activities platform, has been introduced to help Filipinos better understand themselves and regain a sense of direction through simple, structured exercises.
The platform was founded by Roey Balbus, an Australian entrepreneur who has worked with Filipino professionals and teams for more than 15 years.
Balbus said the initiative grew out of his long-standing belief in the resilience and potential of Filipinos, shaped by years of supporting local teams in business growth, leadership development, and personal transformation.
“Filipinos have been working hard their whole lives, and we don’t want their freedom or success to come in brief moments,” Balbus said. “For that to happen, they need growth, confidence, and a sense of control over their own lives.”
Never Ending Weekends offers guided activities focused on themes such as identity, clarity, relationships, and emotional grounding.
These include exercises like vision board creation, motivator exploration, mindset-shift scenarios, and obstacle mapping, all designed to be completed in small, manageable steps either individually or with others.
The platform is accessible online, with a mix of free resources and paid activities priced from as low as ₱120, aiming to make self-reflection tools affordable and easy to use.
Balbus said the goal is to encourage users to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves.
“As people go through the activities, they learn to pause and gain clarity about their path, helping them slowly build a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling,” he added.
