Video platform TikTok has introduced a new set of in-app digital well-being tools aimed at helping users manage their time and encourage more intentional use of the platform.
The feature, called the Time and Well-being Page, became available to Philippine users on Dec. 15 and can be accessed through the app’s Account Settings.
TikTok said the tools were developed with input from academic research and are designed to promote mindful engagement rather than limit usage outright.
The new page consolidates several wellness-focused features, including breathing exercises, calming sound options such as rainfall and ocean waves, and a digital journal with downloadable affirmation cards.
It also includes creator-led videos that explain how to use TikTok’s existing safety and time-management settings, such as screen-time limits and Family Pairing.
TikTok also added a set of gamified “Well-being Missions” that encourage users — particularly younger audiences — to reflect on their online habits. Users who complete these tasks earn badges within the app.
Among the new missions is the Sleep Hours Mission, which prompts users to log off at night and engage in meditation over an eight-week period.
Other missions focus on setting daily and weekly screen-time limits, while one encourages users to invite friends to participate in digital well-being activities.
Bea Bautista, TikTok’s head of communications in the Philippines, said the new tools are intended to help users pause and reflect on how they spend time online, adding that the company is positioning the feature as part of a broader effort to support healthier digital routines.
