Xiaomi PH unveils Pad 8 tablets, scooter, smartwatch, other devices

Consumer electronics firm Xiaomi has introduced several new devices in the Philippines alongside the launch of its latest smartphones, expanding its lineup with tablets, mobility products, wearables, and accessories.

Among the new products are the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro tablets, Electric Scooter 6 Series, Xiaomi Watch 5 smartwatch, UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank, Xiaomi Tag tracker, and REDMI Buds 8 Pro wireless earbuds.

The company said the new lineup highlights its continued push to deliver advanced consumer devices across multiple product categories.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Series includes the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro, which Xiaomi described as its thinnest and most powerful tablets so far. Both devices feature an 11.2-inch 3.2K display with up to 800 nits of brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate. The tablets weigh 485 grams and measure 5.75mm thick.

Both run on Xiaomi’s newly launched HyperOS 3 operating system aimed at improving multitasking and interface performance.

The Pad 8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform and includes a 50-megapixel rear camera, a 32-megapixel front camera, and support for 67W fast charging.

The Pad 8, meanwhile, uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, features a 13-megapixel rear camera, and supports 45W charging.

Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro stylus designed for precision input and productivity tasks.

Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Ultra

For personal mobility, Xiaomi released the Electric Scooter 6 Ultra, which features a peak motor output of 1200W, 12-inch all-terrain tires, and dual swing-arm suspension.

The scooter has a riding range of up to 75 kilometers and supports fast charging that can restore about 30 kilometers of range in one hour.

Safety features include front and rear disc brakes and an IPX6 water resistance rating. The scooter also connects to the Xiaomi Home app for ride data and device controls.

The Xiaomi Watch 5

The company also introduced the Xiaomi Watch 5, a smartwatch powered by Wear OS by Google. The device supports Google services, contactless payments through Google Wallet, gesture controls, and voice commands using Google Gemini.

It is equipped with a 930mAh battery that Xiaomi says can last up to six days in smart mode and up to 18 days in power-saving mode. The watch also supports health monitoring and dual-band GNSS for navigation.

Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank

Another accessory released is the Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W, a portable charger measuring about 6mm thick and weighing 98 grams. It supports both wired and wireless fast charging of up to 15W.

Xiaomi Tag

The Xiaomi Tag item tracker is designed to help users locate personal belongings such as keys or bags. The device works with both Apple Find My and Google Android Find Hub networks, weighs about 10 grams, and offers a battery life of more than one year.

RedMi Buds 8 Pro

Completing the lineup is the RedMi Buds 8 Pro, wireless earbuds featuring a coaxial triple-driver configuration and support for Dolby Audio.

Pricing in the Philippines starts at P38,999 for the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro (8GB + 256GB) and P29,999 for the standard Pad 8, both available in Pine Green, Gray, and Blue and bundled with Xiaomi Focus Keyboards.
