Local telco DITO Telecommunity said its business unit DITO BizBayan supported several recent events organized by merchant collective South Trading Post (STP) as part of efforts to help small businesses adopt digital tools and connectivity.
STP marked its second year with a milestone gathering on Feb. 27, 2026, bringing together merchants and partners following a series of community events held in the past months.
Among the activities were the STP 2nd Southversary held Nov. 7–9, 2025 at Alabang Town Center, the South Sleigh Ride holiday event on Dec. 20–21, 2025 at G Studios Alabang, and Love You So Matcha, which ran Feb. 13–15, 2026, also at Alabang Town Center.
During these events, DITO BizBayan provided Internet connectivity used for merchant transactions, digital payments, and social media engagement.
“STP represents what the modern market looks like today, where business happens seamlessly both offline and online,” said Gabby Cui, head of MSME at DITO BizBayan.
“With DITO’s 5G connectivity, we’re helping MSMEs power cashless payments, connect with customers in real time, and create meaningful experiences. From seamless digital payments to stable connectivity, we strive to make every event not just successful, but truly memorable for both merchants and their customers.”
STP co-founder Justin Francisco said the partnership helped support small merchants participating in the events.
“Partnering with DITO BizBayan has been transformative for South Trading Post and our community,” Francisco said.
“Their support as the main title sponsor of our anniversary event, Southversary 2, and for our recent Thanksgiving dinner with our partner brands shows their dedication to helping and empowering small Filipino businesses thrive. Together, we’re proving that when businesses come together, communities grow even stronger.”
