LG Electronics is highlighting its InstaView refrigerator lineup in the Philippines, a product line built around a patented “knock-to-view” glass panel that lets users see inside the fridge without opening the door.
The feature works by tapping twice on the refrigerator’s tinted glass panel, which then lights up to reveal the contents inside.
LG says the design reduces the need to open the door, helping minimize cold air loss and maintain more stable temperatures for stored food.
Originally introduced globally as an evolution of LG’s earlier Door-in-Door concept, InstaView has since become one of the company’s signature refrigerator technologies.
In the Philippine market, the feature is available across several models, including French door, side-by-side, and bottom-freezer configurations.
“LG InstaView reflects our commitment to meaningful innovation. It’s a simple idea with a real impact — allowing families to look inside their refrigerator instantly while helping maintain optimal cooling conditions,” said Changhee Doh, product director of Home Solutions at LG Electronics Philippines.
Aside from the glass panel feature, select models also include additional functions such as Auto Ice Maker, the SpacePlus ice system, Hygiene Fresh deodorization, and DoorCooling+ for more even cold air distribution.
Other features include humidity control for fruits and vegetables through the Fresh Converter and UVnano water filtration for dispenser hygiene.
In the Philippines, LG currently offers InstaView refrigerators through its online brand shop and authorized dealers.
Available models include the RVF-X208MC French-door unit, the RVS-X238MC and RVS-G245PZ side-by-side models, and the RJB-V127BG bottom-freezer refrigerator.
