Converge ICT Solutions posted the fastest download speed and lowest latency among Philippine fixed broadband providers in the second quarter of 2026, according to the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) latest Oplan Bantay Signal report.
The fiber broadband provider recorded an average latency of 5 milliseconds during the quarter. Lower latency means less delay as data travels across a network, which is important for applications such as video calls, online gaming, and cloud services.
Converge also posted a download speed of 158 megabits per second (Mbps), while its upload speed reached a six-month high. The company did not provide the corresponding upload-speed figure.
Customer complaints involving Converge declined by 84% from January to June, according to the report.
“The second quarter performance of Converge saw a sharp improvement as complaints dropped significantly. This shows Converge is addressing customer complaints and making targeted improvements to its network,” DICT secretary Henry Aguda said.
The DICT said none of the areas served by Converge was classified as a “crisis city,” referring to locations where average broadband speeds fall below 15 Mbps.
Three cities, however, registered average speeds between 15 Mbps and 30 Mbps and were identified as requiring further improvement. The cities were not named in the company’s disclosure.
“Converge has always been focused on delivering the best quality service to its customers. Our upload speed reached a six-month high, while our network delivered best-in-class latency, reflecting the continuous investments we have made to improve customer experience,” Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy said.
Oplan Bantay Signal is the DICT’s nationwide monitoring program for telecommunications services. It measures download and upload speeds, latency, and service reliability through network tests and assessments.
The DICT findings follow Ookla’s Speedtest Intelligence report for the first half of 2026, which recognized Converge for “Best Internet,” “Fastest Internet,” and “Best Fixed Latency” based on consumer-initiated tests.
As of May, Converge said its last-mile fiber network covered more than 960,000 fiber kilometers nationwide. The company also provides enterprise connectivity, data center, and network solutions.
