Global technology and consulting firm Accenture said the Philippines must strengthen digital skills, expand infrastructure, and establish responsible AI governance if it hopes to capitalize on artificial intelligence's economic potential.

Accenture said workers need not “fear” AI, despite concerns that it will eventually replace humans in the workplace.

Lito Tayag, the current country managing director, will retire from Accenture at the end of December, after 20 years of service.

Accenture Technology Philippines managing director Ambe Tierro has practically spent her entire corporate life with the company -- 30 years and counting -- and has seen its explosive growth from being Andersen Consulting's local affiliate to its emergence as a powerhouse technology BPO firm.
