The Department of Education (DepEd) and Microsoft are expanding the use of artificial intelligence in Philippine public schools, with the technology company set to provide 1 million teachers access to Microsoft Copilot.

The partnership builds on the PLDT Group’s acquisition of 1,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses. The companies said the AI assistant is being integrated into daily tasks such as drafting communications, summarizing meetings, analyzing information and supporting internal decision-making.
