Globe Telecom announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23, the appointment of Carl Raymond R. Cruz as the company’s deputy CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2025. He will be nominated to the position of president and CEO in the company's annual stockholders meeting scheduled for April 2025.
Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu also asked the government to institute stronger measures against phishing, noting that current laws are lacking in terms of enabling the prosecution of cybercriminals.
Globe Telecom said on Tuesday, Oct. 26, that it is slowly pivoting away from its core telecommunications business to become a digital solutions platform over the next five to 10 years to cater to rapid consumer digital adoption.
