Filipino pride shone on global stage once more as the team from Makati-based school iAcademy won the grand prize for the Computing Track in the Global Finals of the Huawei ICT Competition, held in Shenzhen, China.
Two Filipino student teams from Cebu Institute of Technology – University and iAcademy topped two of the four categories featured in the technology contest for students and will now represent the Philippines at the Global Finals of the Huawei ICT Competition in Shenzhen, China in May 2024.
Under the program, Alibaba Business School’s Global Digital Talent (GDT) team will train the professors of iAcademy with its e-commerce courseware that will be incorporated in iAcademy’s business course subjects.
Makati-based school iAcademy said it is now offering what is said to be the first intensive training on the complete Toon Boom pipeline, a set of courses that animation students must have in preparation for the international Toon Boom certification exam.
