The Land Bank of the Philippines reported on Tuesday, Aug. 24, a sustained increase in the usage of its major electronic banking channels, including payment systems used by national and local government agencies, in the first seven months of the year.
Bar applicants now also have the additional option to pay the Bar application fee online through the Landbank Link.Biz portal and the Judiciary ePayment Solutions.
Data privacy advocates raised a howl on Thursday, May 27, against the supposed Landbank account that “comes” with every registration of the PhilSys ID, also known as the nation ID.
The waiver of fees, previously extended only until March 31, 2021, covers online fund transfers facilitated through Landbank’s online banking channels via InstaPay and PesoNet.
Under the enhanced I-STUDY Lending Program, Landbank is now offering a loan of up to P50,000 per student to finance the purchase of learning gadgets that can be included in the maximum loanable amount of P150,000 per student or P300,000 per parent-borrower to cover payment for tuition or enrolment-related fees.
