Online tax compliance platform Taxumo has released its 2024 State of Online Taxation report, highlighting the result that millennials continue to dominate as taxpayers although Gen Zs are catching up.
The latest online taxation report from online tax filing and payment platform Taxumo has revealed important movements of online tax payments in the Philippines during the first year of the Marcos Jr. administration.
Taxumo stressed, however, that a larger percentage of working people saw their incomes go down, with 67.1% of taxpayers on Taxumo declaring a 49% decrease in their incomes.
Instead of slapping new taxes, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian also prodded the government to extend fresh capital and other financial assistance to budding online entrepreneurs.
