The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) said it has recently signed 35 new research and development (R&D) projects.

Researchers may submit their proposals from March 1 to 31, 2022 via the DOST Project Management Information System (DPMIS).

The R&D budget in the 2021 General Appropriations Act is currently at 0.47%.

Sen. Panfilo Lacson said there is no other time than now to roll out the National ID system which was signed into law nearly two years ago. He also said more investment on R&D would provide the country with the tools to fight infectious diseases like Covid-19.
