The number of new companies registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) hit an all-time high in 2024, on the back of advanced digital platforms that continue to make doing business easier in the Philippines.
The SEC released for public comment the draft guidelines on November 19, following the imposition of a moratorium on the registration of new online lending platforms (OLPs) on November 5.
The Electronic Simplified Processing of Application for Registration of Company (eSPARC) is expected to facilitate faster and easier registration of corporations in the country.
