New DOST-TAPI director Marion Ivy D. Decena is one of the first certified patent valuation analysts (CPVA) in the Philippines and is one of the few recognized CPVAs in Southeast Asia.

The Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) has launched the System for Intellectual Property Applications and Grants (SIPAG), which aims to track IP applications and help in the prosecution of IP violations.

Called Payruler, the Web-based application is tailor-fit for HR process automation of different businesses in the country.

The I-Tech program also allows inventors to borrow up to 85 percent of the total loan amount or a maximum of P12.5 million, or what the borrower's repayment capacity is, whichever is lower.
