Report: WhatsApp posts rapid growth in PH business messaging, but Viber stays dominant

Filipino consumers are increasingly using messaging apps to interact with businesses, with Viber maintaining its position as the country's dominant platform despite the rapid growth of alternative channels, according to a new report from cloud communications company Infobip.

Infobip’s study found that WhatsApp is the undisputed global dominator in chat apps today. In the Philippines, however, it is Facebook Messenger, followed by the rapidly growing chat platform, Viber, that are the country’s most popular chat apps.
